Okay, so this is several dayslate because honestly, I needed digital detox. I’ve been trying to get views up for the blog and just generally pushing on all platforms. It’s worked. I got views up to 250, I got more comments than ever, and I got to 76 followers. Also, I’ve got posts planned out till April, yay productivity, so I’ve got time to rest.

Since I’ve been doing the weekly reviews I don’t have as much material to cover in these monthly reviews but I’ll still hit the high points.

Books

So I hit my reading goal of five books, so I’m happy about that, technically I started one in January, but I finished it in February so I’m not going to be picky.

The Dragon with a Chocolate Heart

Though I started this in January I finished in February so I guess it’s technically a February book. Now I love books about magic and cooking. Somehow magical cooking always seems to result in a cute book.

Aventurine is a dragon, who feels confined to the caves where her family lives, she is accidentally turned into a human and finds her true career interest in chocolate.

The Deep & Dark Blue by Niki Smith

My favorite book BY FAR, this month, and the author mention me on Twitter, but that didn’t influence my decision at all it was just a really nice touch. Niki Smith is a fine human. Go buy the book, you know you want to and read my review so you’ll know why you want to, it has spoilers though so be careful.

The Girl with the Dragon Heart

The Girl with the Dragon Heart is about Silke, Aventurine‘s best friend who helped her find her way as a human in the first book. Aventurine also shows up in this book though mostly as a background character. The Girl with the Dragon Heart focuses on Silke’s search for a place to call home.

This was A Mighty Girl Best Book of the Year for 2019, and I can see why filled with female friendship unlikely families and strong heroines, it is one of my favorite books of 2020, so far along with The Dragon with a Chocolate Heart.

Princess Who Flew with Dragons

The third book in The Dragon with a Chocolate Heart universe follows one of the princesses in the kingdom they live in. Sofia is considered bad at being a princess by everyone including herself but especially her sister Katrin, so when her sister sends her away on another diplomatic mission she knows it’s just a ploy to get rid of her.

But things in the world are much more complicated than Sofia can figure out from her books, and in the end, she may end up being the princess saving the day. My review should be up sometime in March.

A book about finding one’s self and standing up for what you believe in also a book about friendship and understanding. Probably my second favorite graphic novel that I’ve read so far this year. I should have a review up in March or early April.

TV/Movies

So I’ve been binging She-Ra: Princesses of Power from Netflix and it’s amazing and it’s giving me SO many ideas for writing. I’ve also been re-watching Frozen 2 and remembering why I loved it the first time.

Blogging

I’ve mostly been doing the Pokemon Reads Tag for next month, with some reviews in between. Some of the types were easy, some of them were much much tougher, so expect to see those in late March-early April.

Now I’ve had a pretty good month numbers-wise for the blog, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have goals for March, those are:

Mental Health

I’m doing pretty well mental health-wise, but I’ve got some tough stuff coming up. So wish me luck. I very well may bury my problems in replaying DragonAge now that I finally updated my PS4, also I’m still trying to fill my Pokedex in Pokemon Shield.

Overall, February was a very productive month, and I hope March is just as productive and helpful.
